Dolores Huerta

Scrolling through my YouTube feed I thought to myself, ‘I haven’t heard much about Latino activism going on right now,’ and of course there is always an activist out there making waves. So as I did my searching, I came across this inspiring, informative video of a wonderful Latina activist, Dolores Huerta. I learned that Dolores Huerta is an impressive social activist who has fought for the rights of farmers, Latinos, immigrants and women across the country. She also started the Agricultural Workers Association with her partner, former Latino activist César Chavez. I really enjoyed this video because not only did I learn all about an important activist I never knew about, but they also interview Dolores herself, so you get to hear about her experiences first hand. She was and still is a very impressive woman. She talks about what it takes to make change and what she did to make change. She is still currently active in three different associations, including her own philanthropy, The Dolores Huerta Foundation. Mrs. Huerta has a lot of knowledge to share with the world, and I was surprised to see this video only had 195 views. So my thought was I would share this video with you all here, to inform you of yet another remarkable activist of our time.
